WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT APPRAISALS

 

Monday, May 7th, antiques and decorative arts appraiser/consultant, Francine Proulx, ISA AM will give a class on everything you should know about appraisals, including The Antiques Roadshow, at the McLean (VA) Community Center from 7:30 to 9 PM.  When do you need a formal appraisal?  What qualifications should an appraiser have?  What should you expect in an appraisal report?  Why so many different values for one object?  Learn how to use and appreciate the Roadshow information. Learn the difference between the verbal opinion of an expert and a written legal document, its importance and impact on insurance coverage and estate planning.

 

Francine Proulx, Accredited Member of both the International Society of Appraisers and the American Society of Appraisers, holds certificates in Appraisal Studies and Connoisseurship from The George Washington University.  Along with appraising, Francine is a consultant downsizing as well as antiques.
